How can I add or remove NayaPay friends?

While adding friends is an important part of the NayaPay experience, you can pay anybody with a NayaPay account regardless of whether they are in your NayaPay contacts list.

Once you sign up, you will be prompted to grant access to and sync your phonebook. If you do so, we will look for any friends that are already on NayaPay and automatically add them to your NayaPay contacts. Your contacts will be notified that you’ve joined NayaPay so that they can chat with you and transfer you money easily!

If you're face to face with someone you want to add, tap “Scan QR” and point your back camera to their NayaPay QR. You can also add them through NayaPay ID or mobile number if they have enabled this option. To do so, click on the Manage Contacts icon on the Home tab and hit the plus icon and select Add by NayaPay ID or phone number. You’ll then be taken to their profile page, where you can choose to add them to your contact (or pay them instantly).

To remove a friend, all you need to do is navigate to your friend’s profile and tap “Block”. You can also tap the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of their chat window and select "Block".
