How can I keep myself safe from scams?

Your security is our priority, but staying safe starts with you. Follow these best practices to protect yourself from scams and keep your NayaPay account secure:

1. Protect your personal information

  • Never share your password, MPIN, OTP, or debit card PIN with anyone, not even someone claiming to be from NayaPay.
  • Do not share your CNIC number or account details over phone calls, texts or social media.
  • Avoid posting pictures of your debit card number or any personal details online.

  • Ignore any apps that are not from official app stores and texts or WhatsApp messages that promise rewards, points, discounts, or gifts in exchange for clicking a link. These links are often designed to steal your data.
  • NayaPay will never send links asking you to verify your account, redeem points, or claim prizes.

3. Don’t fall for urgency

  • Fraudsters often create a sense of urgency, claiming your account will be blocked or that you must act immediately.
  • Take a moment to verify the message before responding.

4. Confirm from verified sources

  • Only trust communication from official NayaPay channels such as our verified social media accounts, in-app chat support, calls from +(92 21) 38400729 , or emails ending with @nayapay.com.

5. Be alert while shopping online

  • Shop only from trusted websites with secure payment gateways (look for “https://” in the URL).
  • Avoid entering your card details on unfamiliar sites or pop-up pages.
  • Always review your transaction history in the NayaPay app to spot any unusual activity.

6. Stay safe when using your card on international sites

  • Only use your NayaPay card on reputable global merchants and official apps — avoid third-party resellers or unverified stores.
  • Be cautious of sites offering prices that seem too good to be true, as they may be scams or counterfeit stores.
  • Check if the merchant supports secure payment methods like Visa 3D Secure before entering your details.
  • Avoid saving your card details on websites or browsers; enter them manually each time for added safety.

7. Handle OTPs responsibly

  • OTPs (One-Time Passwords) are confidential. Never share them with anyone.
  • If you receive an OTP you didn’t request, report it immediately.

8. Stay aware of impersonation scams

  • Fraudsters may pose as NayaPay employees, bank representatives, or government officials to trick you into sending money or revealing information.
  • NayaPay will never call to ask for your login credentials, OTP, MPIN or debit card PIN.

9. Keep your app secure

  • Always log out from shared devices.
  • Enable biometric authentication for an added layer of security.
  • Regularly update the NayaPay app to get the latest security protections.

Remember: NayaPay will never ask for your confidential details, send you suspicious links, or pressure you into making transactions.
