What happens if a fraudulent transaction occurs on my card?

If you notice a charge on your card which you believe you have not made, please file a dispute on the NayaPay app immediately. We also strongly recommend freezing your card till NayaPay’s fraud team completes its investigation. As a general rule, if the merchant (where the card was used) does not support 3DSecure, the merchant will be liable to cover you for the fraud. NayaPay will, as part of its dispute resolution process, intervene in such situations and work with Visa and, if required, also follow up with the merchant and the merchant’s bank to secure your refund. If the merchant did have 3D Secure enabled, and the transaction succeeded, then NayaPay will also coordinate on your behalf; however, more proof will be required to justify a fraud claim in this case.
